Getting Near Completion Of All Trackwork

The following few photos show how all the trackwork came to be completed with the station area and fuelling point being finished and what would eventually become the scenic section. The challenging ramp down to the underground sidings would always prove interesting and although a decent loco will pull any rolling stock up out of there it is actually a recipe for disaster so in the intervening years of the operation of the layout I always tend to pull any stock in or out of there by hand and being as its not actually part of the scenic area of the layout this doesnt matter much. My only regret is that I didnt put underground storage on both sides of the layout but that would of also meant I couldnt of put lights etc on my station platforms as that area would of been inaccessible for wiring if I had used it as storage sidings so in the end I suppose its all just perfect.
